Nutmeg is a famous zest produced using the seeds of Myristica fragrans, a tropical evergreen tree. Nutmeg is the inward seed, while mace is the red, trim like substance that covers the seed. Despite the fact that their flavor is comparative, nutmeg is said to have a hotter, spicier flavor than mace. Other than being an intriguing flavor, nutmeg is gathered under the class of aphrodisiacs, and in cooking, just little amounts –, for example, a little grinding or a touch of the ground powder – are utilized to make soups, meat sauces, hamburger stew, steaks, roulades, and even sweets.
